Ecotec Filters are committed to reducing our impact upon the environment. Firstly, we source locally wherever feasible to cut down on carbon emissions from transporting our filters. We employ energy saving ideas at our office such as working towards a paperless office, using energy saving lighting and using efficient heating. We use recycling bins for tin, metal, paper and card and endeavour to keep our wastage down to a minimum. We are therefore committed to reducing our environmental impact and continually improving our environmental performance as an integral and fundamental part of our business strategy and operating methods. We strongly believe in helping to create a cleaner environment, and some of our products contribute towards this goal. Please help us to help the environment by emailing Purchase orders. It is our priority to encourage our customers, suppliers and all business associates to do the same. Not only is this sound commercial sense for all; it is also a matter of delivering on our duty of care towards future generations.
We recognise that we must integrate our business values and operations to meet the expectations of our customers, employees, investors, suppliers, the community and the environment. We recognise that our social, economic and environmental responsibilities to these stakeholders are integral to our business. We aim to demonstrate these responsibilities through our actions and within our corporate policies. We take seriously all feedback that we receive from our stakeholders and, where possible, maintain open dialogue to ensure that we fulfil the requirements outlined within this policy. We shall be open and honest in communicating our strategies, targets, performance and governance to our stakeholders in our continual commitment to sustainable development. The Managing Director is responsible for the implementation of this policy and will make the necessary resources available to realise our corporate responsibilities. The responsibility for our performance on this policy rests with all employees throughout the company.
In recent years, environmental sustainability has become increasingly important for most organizations. Managing, monitoring and improving it has become a board priority. As well as the obvious financial benefits of improving environmental efficiency, organizations want to be – and be seen to be – socially responsible. In addition, environmental standards and legislation are becoming increasingly stringent.
The government defined a set of measures to reduce energy consumption and CO2 emissions, and deal responsibly with waste. Ecotec Filters Ltd follows these Guidelines with for example Energy, We only use energy saving light fitments and bulbs, switch off lights office policy and take action against energy wastage, The successful management of environmental impacts is to allow the use of energy, natural resources, and waste in a manner that ensures the long term sustainability of Ecotec Filters. With increased environmental legislation, there is a possibility of penalties for non compliance – these are most likely to be financial and can run into hundreds of thousands of pounds. Other related costs include legal bills and loss of management time. Compliance and engagement with environmental issues can also protect the sustainability of the business in the longer term.
Environmental policies and practices can help improve the morale of existing employees, and can also act as an incentive to attract staff at all levels we want our organisation to take an environmental stance and that may be similar to our potential employee. Would you want to work for an organisation with a poor environmental record?
